Hello and welcome to my site.
Unfortunately I have very little to offer here but here is a very valid quote I would like to share....

A conversation between Hui Neng and Wu Jin Cang:

A buddhist nun named Wu Jing Cang said to the sixth Zen Patriarch, Hui Neng,
"I'd like you to explain a passage in the nirvana sutra for me."
Hui Neng said, "I'm sorry, but I can not read. You go ahead and read it to me and then I will explain it."
Wu Jing Cang said, "If you can't even read the words, how can you understand the principles behind them?" Hui Neng explained, "The truth is independant of language. Language is like my finger. I can point out the moon with it but it is not the moon. And you don't need to point at the moon to see it."
